There is no better place than The Woodlands to celebrate our Nation's Birthday with the 4th of July Parade, Star Spangled Salute, Splash Day, Concert in the Park, Red, Hot & Blue Festival and Fireworks Extravaganza.
The horrific events in Boston have caused all planners of major events to review their security plans. In that regard, the South County 4th of July Parade Committee is working with the event professionals at The Woodlands Township, law enforcement officials and other security professionals. By parade time there will be some changes. Some will be visible and some invisible to the public. Our goal is to keep your 4th of July Parade as enjoyable and safe as ever. We ask the viewers and entries in the parade to follow the maxim:
"If you see something, say something."
We will be providing parade-goers with an emergency dispatch number which they can use to report any questionable activities on the day of the parade.
Our parade theme for 2013 is "Parade of Stars".
